WHO: Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council
WHAT: Meeting of the Advisory Council; the public is invited to attend. Note: Public Comment Period will be held from approximately 10:45 – 11:00 a.m.; individual comments will be held to 3-5 minutes.
WHEN: Thursday, July 14, 2005, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Pacifica Beach Resort, 525 Crespi Drive, Pacifica, CA (650) 355-9999, Banquet Room above restaurant.
WHY: The Council will meet to focus on issues affecting marine resources off the Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco and San Mateo County coasts. The Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary is a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The Sanctuary encompasses 948 sq. nautical miles of open ocean, coastal and estuarine marine habitats. This Sanctuary is now in the process of reviewing and revising its Management Plan jointly with the Monterey Bay and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuaries.
Directions: The Pacifica Beach Resort, 525 Crespi Drive, Pacifica, CA is located in Pacifica off Highway 1.
Traveling from either the north or south, exit Highway 1, (Cabrillo Highway) at Crespi Drive (turn towards the hills at the stop light) and make a left into the parking lot. The meeting will be located above the restaurant in the banquet room. · From San Francisco, take Interstate 280, (JUNIPERO SERRA FWY), south and bear right onto Cabrillo Highway towards Pacifica. Exit Highway 1, (Cabrillo Highway) at Crespi Drive, (approximately 8 miles from the intersection of 280 and Highway 1). The hotel is located one block from Hwy 1 across from the ocean on Crespi Drive.
