Several more cars were broken into at Great Highway & Ortega this past week. For at least three of the victims, all of whom were surfing at the time, this was the second time each of them had their cars broken into in the past 2 weeks at the same location!
The thief broke a window on each car to gain entry, and then he stole wallets, cell phones, but apparently the creep doesn’t like surf equipment because no surfing gear has been reported stolen. A witness gave what sounds like the same description of the person spotted during the last surfer car looting frenzy: A Latino or Filipino male, approximately 5’8″ with short hair.

Apparently, several surfers are very hot under the collar about this recent crime spree that’s affecting many OB surfers.
