SurfPulse CPR Class in Half Moon Bay on Saturday, June 24, 2006

If you saw a lifeless body on the beach, what would you do?!?

This 5 1/2 hour American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR course is designed to teach the average person how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies for adults, children and infants. Topics of discussion range from warning signs of heart attacks and strokes, to difficulty in breathing, to foreign body airway obstructions. This class is for people that want and/or need CPR training and a course completion card, which is awarded after successful completion of the course and a written exam. More info at http://www.americanheart.org. The following page has a PDF document that summarizes the different training courses provided by the AHA, including Heartsaver CPR.

(Note: This class does NOT have a water rescue portion. There will be an abbreviated CPR class, which will be followed by surf rescue on August 12, 2006. You can sign up for that other class through Half Moon Bay Parks & Rec).
