The Mill Valley Film Festival is showcasing the world premiere of the film One Winter Story, documenting the life of Sarah Gerhardt, the first woman to brave the waves at Maverick's.

There will be two screenings of the film:

• Sunday, Oct. 8th, 4:15pm, CineArts @ Sequoia Theater, downtown Mill Valley
  
• Monday, Oct. 9th, 6:45pm, 142 Throckmorton Theatre, downtown Mill Valley

Sarah Gerhardt will be at the Sun., Oct. 8th screening, and directors Sally Lundburg and Elizabeth Pepin will appear at both screenings to answer questions.
