The Half Moon Bay Chamber of Commerce has announced these training sessions for volunteers who want to assist in the cleanup of oil contaminants on local beaches.
Volunteers trained may go to other counties to clean beaches. You MUST be certified in order to legally (and safely) be able to help with the cleanup. The oil is making its way down the coast, and there are already reports of oil being in HMB area.
The next “Oil Spill Operations Training” for volunteers are:
- Today, Thursday, November 15 from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. at the IDES Hall, 735 Main St., Half Moon Bay.
- Saturday, November 17 from 8:00 A.M.-12:00 noon at the Train Depot, 110 Higgins Canyon Rd., Half Moon Bay
