On Thurs., May 17th at 7:00 P. M., Tierza Davis and Heather Hyde from Pura Vida Adventures will give you a "locals" guide to surfing in Costa Rica. Both surf chicas have lived in Costa Rica for the past four years and have surfed most of the coast. Topics include the different surf towns, surfing level of each surf break, what to expect from the breaks, when to go, how to travel around the country, and their favorite surf spots. They will also talk about how to prepare for your surf trip: things to pack, books and maps to buy, boards to bring, vaccinations, car rental, etc.

The lecture is part of the Sports Basement Speaker Series at: 610 Mason Street @ Crissy Field (Presidio).
