Shark Sighting Closes Rodeo Beach in Marin on Sunday, November 18, 2007

On Sunday, Nov. 18th, at approximately 10:00 A.M., a large shark, thought to be a great white, was spotted by two surfers and another witness at Rodeo Beach in Marin County. The shark was attacking a seal about 150 feet from shore. Park rangers closed the beach after the sighting, just hours after the beach had been reopened after oil spill cleanup.
