Roy Earnest and David L. Brown, the film producers of “Surfing for Life” (which starred Woody Brown) and the Emmy-nominated “Of Wind and Waves: The Life of Woody Brown,” invite you to bring family and friends to celebrate Woody Brown’s amazing life on Sunday, June 22.
Join the NorCal surf community as we come together to pay tribute to Woody Brown, one of the original soul surfers who helped pioneer the surf lifestyle we all love. The renowned big wave surfer, catamaran inventor, sailor, and glider pilot — loved by millions and a long-time ambassador of the aloha spirit — passed away at age 96 on April 16.
Come out and help Roy and David pack Sanchez Hall and also form the biggest circle of surfers in honor of Woody at Boatdocks at Noon.
Also, enjoy the afternoon filled with live music by the Wander-Ins, hula dancing performances, a potluck dinner, a free film screening of “Of Wind and Waves,” and some great stories about Woody. See you there!
