All friends of Chris “Christy” Davis are invited to a BBQ and benefit at 3:00 PM on Sun., Dec. 21, 2008 in San Francisco at Ocean Beach. This benefit will show financial and emotional support for the nearly 20-year Maverick’s veteran Christy Davis, whose teenage daughter is undergoing cancer treatment.
This is a tough time financially for most people, so any donations will be hugely appreciated. Christy has been a mainstay in the Maverick’s lineup for nearly two decades, and he is loved and respected by many surfers throughout Northern California—and the world, for that matter. Let’s show some support for this fellow surfer’s family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Davis family!
