Local Surfer Dies in Diving Accident in Sonoma on Saturday, August 9, 2008

On Sat., Aug. 9th, Craig Alan Belluomini, 54, of San Bruno drowned while diving for abalone off the Sonoma coast. A brief news report may be found here: www.smdailyjournal.com

A friend of Mr. Belluomini related to SurfPulse:
"Craig surfed everyday at either Linda Mar or Ocean Beach. If the surf wasn't cooperating, Craig always made time for conversation over coffee before getting on to the rest of the day while we waited for the ocean to shape up for us so we could try again tomorrow morning.

Friends and family are going to get together to celebrate Craig's life on Saturday, August 16th at Buckey Park in San Bruno (on Rosewood Avenue at Lowell). 1:00 PM, Pot Luck lunch.

Aloha, Craig, and I'll always remember that one heaving thick one going left that we laughed about thinking you were done for on!"
