Surf Film Stranger Than Fiction in San Francisco on Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Aqua Surf Shop and Wavefest are proud to resurrect Surf Film Nite with Stranger Than Fiction, the latest from one of the modern legends of surf films—Taylor Steele.

With more surfers than ever before (25+), a totally surprising soundtrack, and a whole new generation of talent, this latest testament to surfing's on-going evolution is sure to be one of the most exciting releases to date. And with Steele at the helm, you can only expect the highest caliber of footage around.

Stranger Than Fiction will be preceded by (if we finish a rough cut in time!) "RIPP SUCK," the latest masterpiece-of-crap from the folks who brought you "Surf Piranha" and "Mourning of the Earth." Shot on the biggest day ever in NorCal, you'll see local rippers compete in a contest featuring hippies, rednecks, sharks, and, of course, Mexican wrestling.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 25, 2008
7:15 PM & 9:15 PM
WHERE: Balboa Theater, 3630 Balboa St. at 38th Ave. in San Francisco
COST: $10 tix at the door

For more information about the film, including an interview with Taylor Steele and trailers, see: www.surfingthemag.com.

The latest issue of The Surfer's Journal also has a feature on Taylor Steele and his filmmaking life.
