It’s a very foggy, muggy morning out here with a slight breeze out of the Southwest and mysterious conditions. 3/4 of the ocean is completely obscured by fog at the moment, however the inside is showing lots of foam and whitewater, which probably doesn’t speak well for the rest of the waves. It sounds like we have surf in the head high or so range, close interval, raw wind swell out there. The wind is light, the fog is thick, so that usually translates into smooth or smoother type conditions. However if I were a betting man, I would guess there is a good amount chop out there, since the winds are supposed to increase as the day moves on. Overall, if you’re up for an adventure this morning, there might be some fun shoulders hidden under the fog for ya, or maybe just slop. At the moment though, I would guess poor conditions, but with Ocean Beach, who knows, OB does what OB wants to do.
