Happy Father’s Day and Summer Solstice! This morning we have similar to conditions to yesterday, with sunny skies and a light onshore breeze out of the northwest. The surf still looks unruly, with shoulder to head high waves crashing over themselves, and sort of getting lost in the chop. I took a drive down the coast yesterday, and most spots from here to Davenport looked the same, and by afternoon, the wind was literally howling onshore, with sand blowing across the Great Highway. Looks like today is starting off with a similar set-up, so hope for the afternoon is slim. Best chance is to find a sheltered spot early.
