The good news about this morning is the ocean is exactly where it’s supposed to be and there is still plenty of water in it. Unfortunately the wind is on it this morning and cranking at a pretty good gust out of the west turning otherwise surfable conditions into not so surfable conditions. At the moment the wind is creating an abundant amount of chop and texture creating lots of scattered waves doing the sectioned, closed out crumbling thing with none of the rideable traits we all love about waves.  On the bright side, there still seems to be a little swell in the water with waves in the shoulder high range with maybe a head high set rolling in from time to time, thus your favorite sheltered beach might be working this morning. Unfortunately, Ocean Beach is not a sheltered beach and as a result surfing doesn’t really look like it’s on the menu this morning, at least for out here.
