Well – it still being August, a long stretch of sunny, warm days was probably too much to hope for. The fog is back, and with it a steady onshore wind, and choppy, junky, whitecapped surf. The waves right now are in the head high range on the north end of the beach, probably a little bigger down in the middle, with very little organization to speak of. It ain’t looking too surfable at the moment – and I didn’t see anyone out where I checked. Hopefully, things will turn around later on the outgoing tide. On top of the marginal conditions, its the last day of Outside Lands, so traffic will probably also be an issue later in the day.
