We have yet another gorgeous morning with sunny blue skies, just a touch of a breeze out out the east with a relatively smooth ocean a 1/4 mile out or so. The surf has come down another notch and has silenced the outer shoals at the moment. Unfortunately though the waves are still in the double to triple overhead range and looking rather punishing with tons of whitewater and walls of water slamming away on the inside. The outer bars are looking a tad cleaner with an occasional double or triple overhead shoulder to snag here and there. However, tracking one down looks near impossible at the moment with conditions that are looking too much on the raw side. Overall, the weather is beautiful, but the surf needs drop down a notch and clean up a bit before surfing out there will change from a survival mission to having fun.
