We have an absolutely gorgeous morning with sunny blue skies, not a breath of wind, with a brisk chill in the air. The surf unfortunately is looking rather raw, with waves in theĀ  double overhead range or so with some larger sets crumbling away on the distant outer shoals from time to time. The paddle is looking brutal at the moment and the rewards look few and far between, but there are some out there scattered around. However, making it out to the line-up and then tracking a shoulder down is not falling under the definition of fun at the moment. Conditions are looking a little too raw, stacked up, with the ocean suffering the aftermath of all the wind yesterday. The good news is there is a lot of swell in the water, thus something has to be working somewhere.
