Considering on my daily little morning walk out to the dune, I encountered frost and frozen sand, I’d say it’s cold out there. However with the cold comes a stillness in the air, the ocean is looking smooth with waves in the head high to slightly overhead range with the occasional set in the 1.5X’s overhead range. It’s a mixed bag out there with conditions ranging from the walled up, crumbling sectioned thing to the beautiful peeling slightly overhead shoulder. Things are not very consistent at the moment, but if you can put yourself in the right place at the right time, you’ll probably score a few fun ones. Overall, look for building swell throughout the day, conditions look fairly clean with an occasional head high or so shoulder to snag here and there under calm, cold, sunny skies.
