According to a comment on stokereport.com, there was a shark sighting at Ocean Beach on Thurs., August 19 at about 5:30 PM. It’s that time of year—already seeing an increase in observed shark activity for the upcoming autumn.

Stroke Report is from the dark side. Enthusiasts on the blog range from the deranged to the blissfully
stupid. Surf, how you surf, the kind of person you are and the people you surround yourself with is
stuff that has nothing whatsoever to do with riding a wave, unless its a group wave or party wave.
I need a hug.
*hug B.V.B. Inc* Stroke Report lol
There are always sharks out beyond Ocean beach. I, and almost every surfer I know, has seen a odd lurking fin near us while waiting in the line up for a wave. It obviously tends to happen more frequently when dead whales wash up on shore.
What can we do about freight liners hitting and killing whales, thus resulting in a travelling buffet for sharks towards Ocean Beach.
