This may come as a surprise, but conditions did not significantly clean up over night, and this morning in the dim dawn light we are greeted by rough and tumble seas, waves shredded by the brisk south wind, and surging, frothing whitewater creating high tide lakes on the beach. No surfing at Ocean Beach today, but those tight, small interval lines sliding in under the chop and churn may be hitting somewhere else that’s more protected from the storm.
