On Sun., Sept. 23rd, between 3:00 and 5:00 P.M. while the vehicle owner was surfing at VFW’s across from the Beach Chalet, a late model Toyota pickup truck was broken into by means of forced entry, most likely a screwdriver. The thief stole the victim’s pants, wallet, wedding ring, cell phone, cash, and credit cards. [...]
On Fri., Aug. 31st, between 4:30 and 5:30 P. M., at the southern end of the Sloat Blvd. parking lot, one surfer’s truck was broken into by a screwdriver through the driver’s door lock, and on another truck a break-in was attempted by the same method.

Another car burglary happened at Ocean Beach (San Francisco) while the car’s owner was out in the water. The incident occurred on Sat., July 28th between 9:30 and 10:30 A. M. in the parking lot across the street from the Beach Chalet.
This burglary was yet another incidence of the “Hide-A-Key” thieves spying on surfers suiting [...]
