This Harbour is quite a log, weighing in easily over 40 and up to maybe 45lbs, partially due to heavy resin and the very heavy volan clothed 50/50 rails. Very little rocker; more of a trimming board, but the experienced could probably pull off a hang5. It has a square wood tailblock, glassed in wood single-fin, triple redwood stringer. Middle stringer is one inch thick, the sides are 3/8" stingers. There have been a number of ding and hole repairs with resin, fill, but that is almost expected for a board from 1964. It is watertight and surfable, but probably better suited for a wall-hanger. Quite a unique board, shaped in June 1964 by Rich Harbour and rare due to the 8'9" length for the period. Longboards in the 50's and 60s were at or around 10 foot plus. Anything below that, ie: 8' to mid low 9' range was considered a shortboard and shaped for young kids and women. If I get anymore bogus emails from posers asking me to accept an offer for an amount in the form of a check, for higher than what I am asking, I will simply delete the email. I am not playing games here to all of you that do that. This by no means is direct to serious buyers with serious collector or surfing intentions. So I will apologize to all of you good people that have to hear my message to the riffraff, goofs out there.
Local Purchasers with CASH ONLY or, I can ship to the right person that wires the funds, which would have to include the price of the board and the shipping and insurance costs. I have a professional shipper that will pack and ship the board for me. I do have paypal, but it is set up through my other email, which does not match my account with Surfpulse.
