Wet Wednesday at The Riptide 11/25/2009

SurfPulse helps sponsor the last Wet Wednesday of every month at The Riptide (3639 Taraval at 47th Ave.) in SF. Come on down and join us and other sponsors, including Aqua Surf Shop, for a Thanksgiving Eve bender. There will be a benefit for Alemany Farm and a celebration of bartender Jeff’s birthday. The night will feature:

-$5 raffle for a Las Olas Surfboard (a biofoam 7’0” rounded pin single fin) plus prizes from Java Beach Cafe, Timbuk2, Red Vic Movie House, Mocha 101, the Pizza Place on Noriega and Jaimal Yogis, author of Saltwater Buddha.

-Shorts by the Aqua Surf Shop Crew (Silvin Morgan, Brian Musial, Aleks Petrovitch and Merle) including their classic zombie/red neck surf flicks.

-Jeff’s Birthday celebration festivities (anything could happen—2007′s bday brought a parade of Jeff look-alikes to the bar) with DJ Paul spinning soul, funk, dub, breaks, hip hop and reggae.

-Free food -No admission. Sierra Nevada will also donate $1 for every pint of their beer sold and a portion of the bar sales and tips will also be donated.

Alemany Farm grows organic fruit and vegetables for San Francisco’s diverse communities, hosts field trips and organizes educational workshops to get City residents closer to their food. Donations will help cover the costs of Farm materials including seeds and starts, irrigation equipment, tools, and other basic needs. To dig in, see http://www.alemanyfarm.org/.
