Surfboard Lost at Montara on Sunday, December 20, 2009

A regular SurfPulse visitor lost a board at Montara on Sun., 12/20 in the late afternoon. It blew off the car roof on Highway 1, and when the owner came back 10 minutes later to look for it, it was gone.

The board is an epoxy Randy Cone, 6’1″ quad-fin with futures fins and swirly red resin tint on the back third of the deck, with a DaKine traction pad missing the center oval.

Did you lose a board in Half Moon Bay on Thanksgiving weekend? A Good Surfmaritan has contacted SurfPulse with news of your board! He found it on Sun., 11/29 in the morning and theorizes it blew off your car, maybe the night before. He found it on the side of Highway 1.

A Good Samaritan thought something fishy going on, seeing a dude trying to sell a Taylor shortboard for $10 at the 24th Street BART Station in SF. Dude, Where Are My Wetsuits? (Taken from SF Driveway on Thursday, August 6, 2009)

If you’re the guy on the cruiser (or know the guy on the cruiser) who made the honest mistake of taking two wetsuits and booties from a driveway on Great Highway, between Quintara and Rivera, please contact SurfPulse and we will get you in touch with the rightful owner of the wetsuits. Or, just drop them off back at his house. Thanks!

Details: In front of green house on Great Highway between Quintara and Rivera, Thursday morning, 8/6, at about 9:15 AM.

Large, O’neill 4/3 sealed seam, zipper on back (black)
Large, Rip Curl, 4/3, sealed seam, zipper on back. (black with white little squares on shoulders.)
Booties, Black with gold, 5/3 mm (I think they were O’neill)

A surfboard was found in the parking lot between Fulton and Lincoln on Tuesday morning, Aug. 4.

UPDATE on Mon., June 22, 2009

The Coast Guard rescued the missing surfer on Fri., June 19. He was found in a cove a couple of hours after his disappearance in the surf. You can read the Coast Guard’s press release for more details.

The Half Moon Bay Review has reported that a surfer went missing in heavy surf at Pomponio Beach on Fri., June 19 at approximately 5:30 PM.

Rescue teams aided in efforts to find the surfer, but he was not found by nightfall.
