Marin Surfrider Anti-Desalination Plant Petition Party in Greenbrae on Wednesday, April 14, 2010

The Surfrider Marin County Chapter is sponsoring a petition signing for the right to vote on ballot for or against the MMWD-proposed desalination plant. The “Pizza with a Purpose” party will be held at The Wipeout Bar & Grill in Greenbrae’s Bon Air Shopping Center on Wed., April 14, 5:00–9:00 PM.

Surfrider Marin, other civic groups, and concerned citizens are backing a ballot initiative to allow the public to vote on the desalination plant. Meet and greet other Surfrider members, members of the public, and water experts who can articulate numerous alternatives in Marin to conserve water.

Surfrider Marin also hopes to gain some volunteers to help make their goal of 11,000 signatures for the ballot measure.

Beach cleanup on Jan. 23 at Stinson Beach
Review of the water testing program
Set dates for future events
